Why video inspection is important for export buyers
When a buyer is in another country, a used vehicle cannot be checked in the same way as a local showroom car. Photos are helpful, but photos can miss details. A structured video inspection shows the buyer more context: the full exterior, interior wear, dashboard display, mileage, lights, tires, nameplate and basic operating condition.
The purpose is not to make every used car look perfect. The purpose is to make the condition clear enough for a serious buyer to make a decision, compare vehicles and avoid misunderstanding after shipment.
Exterior video checklist
- Walk around the vehicle slowly from all four sides.
- Show front bumper, grille, headlights, rear bumper and taillights.
- Record doors, roof, mirrors, wheels and tire tread condition.
- Show any visible scratches, dents, paint color difference or repaired areas honestly.
Interior and dashboard checklist
The interior video should show front seats, rear seats, trunk, steering wheel, center screen, air conditioning controls and door panels. Buyers should also request a dashboard video after the vehicle is powered on. This helps confirm mileage display, warning lights and basic instrument status.
For electric or hybrid vehicles, buyers should ask for available battery and energy display information. For fuel vehicles, the video should show engine start, idle sound and any obvious abnormal warning if visible.
Nameplate, documents and trim confirmation
Many models have several trims with different configurations. A buyer should not rely only on model name. Ask for nameplate video, VIN-related confirmation where appropriate, production year, trim name and key configuration points. Final export documents should be checked according to the shipment and destination requirements.
Road-test and delivery videos
If a road-test video is possible, it can show acceleration, braking, steering response and dashboard status during driving. Before delivery or port arrangement, buyers can also request updated videos or photos to confirm the vehicle condition before shipment preparation.
Vertech Auto can support buyers with exterior, interior, dashboard and delivery-stage video confirmation. For the best result, buyers should send a checklist before quotation or before final payment arrangement.
